People often ask me if I believe animals have a soul. I know they do. I have seen into their souls and and cherish the spiritual connection we share. My purpose as a wildlife photographer is to capture the soul of the beautiful beasts I discover on my adventures.

From a young age, my family would often take long road trips through the mountains. These were my first chances to connect with the nature around me. I spent the entire car ride watching out the window as the wilderness sped by us. As I watched the twinkling of star lights or the shimmering of aspen leaves, I longed to explore the enchanting wilderness and discover Mother Nature's secrets. It was during those trips that I knew I would live in the mountains and surround myself with the magic of the forests. To this day I still find a thrill from watching the tranquil moments found in nature from the golden-hued leaves falling from a tree in autumn to the majestic woodland creatures I am fortunate enough to encounter along my path. I currently live in Montana, and many of my photographs are taken of local wildlife.
